Mary Deters, 94, of Fennville, died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Holland Hospital. Born in Gibson City, IL, the daughter of Herman F. and Marie Onken. On July 7, 1958 she married Harry Deters in LaGrange, IN he preceded her in death on June 20, 1996. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Fennville Immanuel Reformed Church and associate member of the South Monterey United Methodist Church. She is survived by her step-daughter Beatrice Johnson of San Anselmo, CA, step-grandchildren, Nancy, Pam, Dan, Deborah and Allen all of California, step-great grandchildren, Jonathan, Meghan, Daniel, and Alexander of California. Caregiver, Timothy Brennan. brothers- and sisters-in-law Viola Onken of Fennville, Stephen Deters, Mrs. Clarence (Julia) Deters, Adrian and Henrietta Van Liere, Justin and Joyce Deters, Jerome and Dorothy Deters all of Holland, MI, Mrs. Clarence (Helena) Boerman of Zeeland, and Alvin and Marian Deters of Byron Center, MI. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may meet with the family from 4pm to 8 pm on Monday at the funeral home where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 with Rev. Ralph Houston and Rev. Linda Burton officiating. Burial will be in Fennville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland or Fennville Immanuel Reformed Church.
