Obituary

Mary Belle Cobb Sr., age 79 of Douglas, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Harbors Health Facility in Douglas. She was born in Chicago, Ill Nov. 16, 1928, and has lived in the Saugatuck area since 1950. She was on the board and a member of the American Legion for 30 years, a Campfire and Bluebird leader for 14 years, and a Boy Scout leader, and also helped at camp Kidwell. She was also a teachers aid at Fennville Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Cobb Sr. in 1965, two sons Vernon and Kenneth, four brothers, and one sister, and a son-in-law Russell E. Strickfaden. She is survived by her children, Barbara Strickfaden, Beverly Hollis, Bobby and Margie Geist, Dawn and Bill Lawson, Homer and Margret Cobb, Mary Cobb Jr., Jim and Shari Cobb, Tamie Kraii, Robert J. Cobb, and Dwayne McCarthey. and one sister Doris McDonald, 40 Grandchildren and 40 great- grandchildren also many nieces and nephews. You are welcome to attended graveside memorial services 2:00pm Sunday April 13, 2008 at the Riverside Cemetery, Saugatuck, MI. Memorial donations may be made to Harbors Health Facility.
