Mary Lou (Brell) Novak, age 83 of Fennville, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at Grace of Douglas. Born September 3, 1935 in Chicago, IL, she was the child of the late Louis and Marie Brell. Mary Lou was an avid boater, as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary she was a past district commander. She loved to bowl, going on cruises and was always known as the "life of the party". Along with her parents, Mary Lou is reunited with her husband of 60 years, Anthony "Tony" Novak. Mary Lou is survived by her two sons, Michael (Teresa) Novak of Saranac, MI and Bob (Leslie) Novak of Fennville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Chappell Funeral Home (637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI 49408). Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the All Saint's Episcopal Church (252 Grand St. Saugatuck, MI 49453) with Father G. Corwin Stoppel officiating.
