Mark Anthony Bard, age 26, of Fennville, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, from injuries sustained in a car pedestrian accident October 1, 2007 in Alexandria, Virginia. Born April 21, 1983, in Holland, MI, he was the son of Philip and Norma (Block) Bard. One of three valedictorians of Fennville's class of 2001, Mark received his bachelors and associates degree's from Baker College in Muskegon, and his master's degree from The University of Michigan School of Information. Mark was a computer specialist, working for the American Library Association in Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Leo Block, paternal grandparents, W. Leroy and Norma Bard, and one Aunt Diane Block. Surviving are his parents Philip and Norma Bard, sister, Karrie Walker, maternal grandmother, Sheila Block, special friend Annie Golden, Aunt Nancy and Dave Kluzak, Uncle Lynn and Shirley Bard, Aunt Deawn Bard, cousins; Michele and Brent Kent, Kelly Bard, Jeff Kluzak, and his fiancAC.e Karrah Browning, and Kristine Kluzak. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Hansen. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tulip City Wings of Mercy, The Harbor Shores Humane Society, The American Library Association, The Fennville Public Schools Educational Foundation, or the charity of one's choice.
