Obituary

Laughter! Her laugh and everlasting love is what we will always remember. Marjorie Ruth Jerue, born on January 5th, 1927, to Thomas and Elizabeth Newton. She told her family she had lived a full life and was ready to meet Jesus, she passed away peacefully February 19th, 2024, surrounded by family.

Marjorie loved sewing and made many beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Made many quilts and each of her offspring has a special one made just for them. You would often find her in the kitchen cooking and baking, the love she had for this will live on through all of us. Marjorie's talents were many, 4-H was a passion of hers and she spent many years teaching youth her love of different projects. On the State 4-H council for 24 years, Sunshine Lady for Leisure Acres. Many may know her from Casco Garden Club, Ladies Aide, Choir, Odd Fellow and Rebekahs. Her personality was infectious and left an everlasting impression.

Proceeded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 54 years Richard S. Jerue, her loving companion John Geasler, Son Richard L Jerue, daughter in law Ruth M Jerue, son in law Larry Borgman, grandson; Christopher Borgman and Great Grandson Zade Stanley Groenendyk.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Randy) Kuiper and sister-in-laws Roberta Newton and Barbara Jerue. Grandchildren Beth (Jeff Sondermeyer), Gina (David Ward), Kim (James)Vaughan, Jenny (Chad) Burns, Stephanie (Kenny)VanderLInden, Teri (Cory)Morgan. Great Grandchildren Kyle, Tyler (Josie), Samantha, Kortney (Zach), Rebecca (Josh), Calie, Hailey, Alex, Brady, Lane, and Nick. The last few years the light of her life was her Great Great Grandchildren Kylo, Everly, Paisley and Caiden. Also, many special nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at Casco United Methodist Church, Saturday, March 23, 2024, with visitation from 11:00 am. to 12:00pm and service starting at 12:00pm. Marjorie will be laid to rest in the church burial garden.

Memorial donations may be made to Casco United Methodist Church and Northland United Methodist Church.
