Marie Cassar Walker, 80,of Brentwood, Tenn., died June 12, 2005. Born in Birkarkara, Europe, she was a former resident of Douglas and Morro Bay, Calif. She attended St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, Michigan and St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Morro Bay, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Walker, in 1986. Surviving are her siblings, Catherine "Kitty" Hughes, of Douglas, MI., Jane Zammit of Malta, Europe, Doris Pace, and Philip and Vivian Cassar of Malta, Europe; a sister-in-law, Marian Cassar of Dearborn Heights, MI; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is scheduled for noon Friday, August 4, 2005 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas with Fr. Fred Hosley officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Saugatuck.
