Marie Alethea Evans, 97, of Fennville, MI died Sunday, March 22, 2020, at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility in Allegan. She was born November 19, 1922 in Fargo, ND and was mostly raised in Sioux City, IA. She has lived in the Fennville area since 1965 and previously lived in Oak Lawn, IL. Mrs. Evans was a graduate from East High School, a member of the class of 1941. She worked for the LAPE during WW2 and was a full time Mom. She and her late husband, Floyd D. Evans, were married on April 12, 1947. She now joins her late husband and son, Mark G. Evans. Surviving are her sons, Ronald Evans of Sullivan, IL, Michael (LaDonna) Evans of Rockford, MI, Steve (Roberta) Evans of Burney, CA, Gary (Lisa) Evans of Sacramento, CA, Brian (Julie) Evans of Baroda, MI, Rusty (Tracy) Evans of Paw Paw, MI and Randy (Elaine) Evans of Vincennes, IN; her daughters, Kathleen G. Evans of Allegan and Maureen E. Boreczky of Fennville. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private interment will take place in Pearl Cemetery. Memorials donations may be made to hospice. Service Details.
