Maria Salud Sanchez, age 76, of Holland, Michigan, formerly of Fennville, Michigan, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Hospice House in Holland. Maria was born in Mexico on March 12, 1936, and married her husband Elizandro Sanchez Sr. on January 22, 1953. She retired from Michigan Fruit Canners in Fennville after 33 years of service. She was a member of the San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church, and lived in the Bravo area for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Elizandro on April 4, 2001 and one daughter Elia White in 1986. Surviving are her children Elizandro and Sharon Sanchez Jr. of Alton, Missouri, Florentino and Sarah Sanchez of Zeeland, Cresencio Sanchez of Bangor, Lorenso Sanchez of Chicago, Mariano and Marilyn Sanchez of Coopersville, Jubentino Sanchez of Ithica, Roberto Sanchez of West Olive, Manuel and Kimberly Sanchez of Fennville, Miguel and Chris Sanchez of Holland, Elida Miles of South Haven, Martha Sanchez of Holland, Alisia and Ken Smith of Grand Haven, 36 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at the San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church 5586 117th Ave. Fennville, MI. with Father Garzon officiating.
