Maria Elena Martinez, age 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was the mother to two sons and survived by, Gustavo Martinez II, Rolando Martinez and wife, Diana. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Mario, Marcus, Mariah, Maksim, MiaBella; her parents, Pablo Hernandez and Florentina Hernandez; her siblings, Pablo Hernandez Jr., Maria Saucedo, Ninfa Salazar, Raul Hernandez, Juanita Casillas, Olga Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez; and is aunt to more than thirty nieces and nephews. Maria spent much of her time assisting her family and the community, volunteering at a local food pantry that provided help to migrant families in the local area. For over twenty years Maria worked for Magna Donnelly, and prior to that she was a classroom aide for Anna Michen Elementary School in Fennville. Maria enjoyed collecting refrigerator magnets, with a collection expanding over 1,000 magnets and she also had a love of circus clowns and clown memorabilia. A celebration of Maria's life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM, at the United Methodist Church, 5849 124th Ave, Fennville, MI 49408.
