Maria Elena Gracia, 39 of Douglas, Michigan passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in an automobile accident. Born November 25, 1980 in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of Juan Gracia and Micaela Trevino. Maria was her family's beautifully fearless free spirit. She loved to be in nature and being by the lake where she would collect rocks. She also enjoyed creating and building miniature furniture and baking. Maria Elena had an infectious smile, laughter and witty sense of humor that will always be remembered. Anywhere she went and whoever she met you were sure to be her friend in the end. Her three children and grandchildren were her world and she always shone the brightest when she was with them. When it came to her family she loved them hard and with all her heart. She would take the time to visit them, text them or call them no matter where they lived in Michigan or out of state just to hear from them and connect. When she set her mind to something she would go all in and do it, so she learned how to drive semi-trucks. She is now off to a new adventure. Along with her parents, Maria is survived by her three children, Christian (Kai) Gracia, Myariah Vixayphone and Nickolas Vixayphone; two grandsons, Tai and Enzo and one grandson on the way, Giovanni Ali Mario Borrego; her grandmother, Alicia Trevino; five siblings, Scott Gracia, Annette Gracia, Kojack Gracia, Michelle Gracia and Analicia Delgado (Javier Alvero); and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Juan Trevino. The family will receive friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at which time the funeral service will begin, Pastor Douglas Wright officiating. Burial to follow in the City of Fennville Cemetery, Manlius Township. Chappell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.. Service Details.
