Marguerite "Sis" Buckberry, long time resident of Ganges Township, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Hospice House in Holland, MI. Born in Sabattus, Maine she was the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Warner) Clark. She married her beloved husband Donald, of 68 years, on May 12, 1945. Sis and Don owned and operated the Buckberry Grocery in Ganges, for several years, then they owned and operated the Early Bird Fish Charters in South Haven, for 12 years, with Sis being Don's first mate. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Stanley, John, and Freeman Clark. Surviving is her husband Donald V. Buckberry of Fennville, MI, nieces, June and Tom Goossen of Holland, MI, and Lois and Mick Nienhuis of West Olive, MI. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 24, 2013 with visitation from 10:00 A.M. till service time at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville,MI with Rev. Thomas Case of the Ganges Baptist Church, officiating.
