Margaret M. Crane (Watson), age 82, of Fennville, passed away Friday evening, May 17, 2013 at the Grace of Douglas Nursing Home. Margaret was the daughter of Harry R. and Vera L. (Keech) Hughes and was born on March 12, 1931 in Allegan County. Margaret loved bowling, she was the co-owner of Lakeview Lanes in Douglas from 1991-2006. She also was an avid painter. On September 13, 1986 she married Donald Crane in Bay City, and together they enjoyed 26 years of marriage. Margaret is survived by two daughters; Cathleen Haight (Fred DenBroeder) and Dian (Carl) Latora; a step-son, Donald (Kelly) Crane II; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lee and James Hughes; a sister, Ruth Thorton; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; sons, Bob and Tony Watson; and her siblings, Harry, Ray, Steve, Norm, Darl, Mary and Wayne. Visitation for Margaret will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St, Fennville. There will be no funeral service. Memorials in Margaret's name may be given to Hospice of Holland or Southern Care Hospice; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
