Obituary

Margaret Louise Jamrog, age 84, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at Lakeside Vista in Holland, MI. Born January 15, 1930 in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of Elmer and Lucille (Bratimus) Krupp. Margaret was a 35-year resident of Flint, MI, a 44-year resident of Jackson, MI, and a 5-year resident of Holland, MI. Margaret was a dedicated mother of five children, and a career RN. She attended St. Michael's Catholic schools in Flint, MI, and was a graduate of the Flint Community College nursing program. As an RN, she worked in Jackson, MI at the Sisters of Mercy Hospital, and W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital. Margaret completed her professional career as the Assistant Director of Surgical Nursing Care. Margaret was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, MI. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Donald G. Jamrog on November 14, 2012. They were married for 66-years. Margaret is survived by her children: Margaret (Peg) of East Lansing, MI, and her children Brian, Jeffrey, and Christopher; David and Vonda Jamrog of Saugatuck, MI, and their children Andrew, and Eric; Michael and Johanna Jamrog of Fennville, MI; Mark and Laura Jamrog of Edwardsburg, MI and their children Stephen, and Olivia; and Matthew and Stephanie Jamrog of Rockford, MI and their children Danielle, Rachel, and Hannah. There are eight great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by two of six sisters Dee Bennett-Gergen of Flushing, MI, and Dorothy Wright of Mt. Morris, MI. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2014, and will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church located at 100 St. Peters Drive in Douglas, MI. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30a.m.followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. The internment will immediately follow at the Douglas Cemetery located at 6576 Riverside Road in Douglas, MI. There will be a luncheon served after the gravesite services at the St. Peter's family center. Fr. Fabio Garzon will be celebrating the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peters Church for the Sisters of San Felipe.
