Margaret Ann Edwards, 82, of Fennville, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Hospice House in Holland. Born June 20, 1930 she was the daughter of Alva and Belle (Westveld) Hoover. She married James Ernest Edwards on June 8, 1951. Margaret was a graduate of Fennville High School and Davenport Business College. She worked as a secretary after college then took time off to raise her three children, serving as a room mother, scout leader, and in 4-H leadership. She volunteered for the Ladies Auxiliary at Douglas Hospital for many years and was a charter member and active participant in the Community Church of Douglas. Margaret and her sister Esther co-owned their retail business, The Yarn Nook, for over 18 years. Surviving are husband, James Edwards of Fennville; children, Ronald and Laurel Edwards of Holland, daughter Susan and Charles Matthews of Gardena, California, David Edwards of Saugatuck; grandchildren Michelle and Perry James, Patrick and Angela Clark; great-grandchildren, A-jay, Destiny, Hakeem, Martel, Heather, Matthew, Kaylie; and sister, Esther Jorgensen of Fennville. Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. at Chappell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, July 16, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Community Church of Douglas with Dr. Daniel N. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
