Luis Muniz Pena, 77, of Fennville, MI passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Holland Hospital. Born August 25, 1944 in Weslaco, TX, he was the son of the late Gabriel Pena and Martina Muniz. Luis was a happy, fun-loving man who kept his sense of humor all the way to the end. You could count on him to have a smile on his face and a joke ready whenever you crossed paths. Luis loved to go for walks, spend time gardening and work on the farm. Above all else, however, his greatest joy came from being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Luis is survived by his children, Luis (Eloisa) Pena, Mary (Porfirio) Lugo, Olga (Anibal) Gomez, Maggie (Juan) Martinez and Martina (Pilar) Soriano; siblings, Pedro Pena, Gabriel Pena, Bertha Pena and Virginia Alaniz; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Victoria Medrano, Janie Ochoa and Julio Sarabia. The family will receive friends at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM and interment will follow in Pearl Cemetery, Clyde Township. Chappell Funeral Home is assisting the Pena family with arrangements. Service Details.
