Obituary

Lucille E. Kiss, age 82 of Fennville, Michigan passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Golden Orchards Assisted Living Facility. Born September 10, 1933 in Fennville, she was the daughter of Louis and Clausia (Lappinga) Kluck. Lucille was a lifelong resident of Fennville, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family. She and her husband owned and operated John's Auto Service in Fennville for many years. Lucille was active in the community as a member of the Sunshine Club and also St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, Michigan. She worked as an Election Clerk for Manlius Township. In her free time, Lucille enjoyed staying active by gardening, canning, and sewing. She also was the pitcher for her softball team and bowled on a women's league as well. Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one great grandson, and her sister Clara Kollar. Surviving is her husband of 62 years, John H. Kiss of Fennville. Children Mary and Gary McCracken, John and Lisa Kiss, Karen Knight and Kirk Thompson, Pat and Jerry Onken, Jean and Rondell Bushee, Helen and Rod Steanburg all of Fennville, Charles and Virginia Kiss of Colorado, Thomas and Paula Kiss, Lou Ann and Brad Fries, Joseph and Cindi Kiss also of Fennville; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Marjorie Marr, Katherine Jackson, and Helen and Skip Bale. Visitation will be on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with a rosary at 3:00 p.m. at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, Michigan. A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Stanley Witek officiating. Lucille will be laid to rest in Fennville Cemetery.
