Lillian Marie Wright, age 96, of Ganges, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Grace of Douglas. Born September 22, 1914, in Allegan County, she was the daughter of Haile and Emma (Burch) Orr. Lillian was the strength and foundation of her family, she was always there when needed, for her family and her siblings. She had a strong Christian faith, and was a former member of the Ganges United Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Community Church of Douglas, where she helped with the nursery, Sunday school, and the church bazaar. Lillian also ran the kitchen at Christian neighbors for twenty years, after she retired from General Electric where she worked for twenty years. She had also been employed at the Fennville Fruit Exchange and Michigan Fruit Canners of Fennville. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Wright, daughter Patricia Rorick, and granddaughter Dawn Leslie. Surviving are her daughters Joyce Turner and Sharon Loos, both of Fennville, MI, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the Community Church Douglas, with Dr. Daniel N. Miller Officiating.
