Obituary

Dr.Leonard Kalivoda, age 91, of Fennville, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at his home. Born February 16, 1920 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he was the son of Leonard and Mary (Kloncek) Kalivoda. Leonard was a US Navy veteran, he served on the USS West Virginia in 1940 and survived Pearl Harbor during WW II. A graduate of Los-Angeles Chiropractic College in 1955, he retired from his Ciropractic practice, and took up the hoby of making new violins. His passion was playing golf, he won the Presidents Cup in 1988, at the Clearbrook golf course. He lived in the Fennville area in the summer, and spent winters in Florida. He was preceded in death by one Son Leonard, and is survived by his wife of thirty years, Leontine (Wuerfel) Kalivoda, children Millicent Kalivoda, Victoria Deruelle, Dorene Moreau, and many grand children. Cremation has taken place and no services are planed. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home 4025 Health Park Lane St. Joseph, MI 49085.
