Leona M. Mars, age 92, of Fennville, Michigan passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Holland Hospital. Born April 3, 1923 in Gladwin, Michigan, she was the daughter of Charles and Edna (Hale) Bryan. Leona was a homemaker, long time Fennville area resident and a member of the Ganges Baptist Church. Surviving are her children; Bernard and Karen Mars of West Olive, Timothy and Phyllis Mars of Holland, Shirley and Jerry Nykerk of Fennville, Linda and Gary Bare of Lebanon, MO, Nancy and Bruce Benedetti of Hamilton, Tammy and Randy Sampson of Fennville, 5 grandchildren and many great and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl C. Mars on October 25, 2006, one grandson, one granddaughter, one sister, and one brother. Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday, funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W.
