Larry Broe Symons, 72, of Fennville, died Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Born in Kalamazoo, he was a retired sales representative for Michigan Fruit Canners in Fennville. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Surviving are his children Sheila Schmidt of Holland, Lisa and Larry Mize of Grandville, Laura and Ed Bale of Fennville, Mike and Kathi Symons of Germany, and Jim Symons of Holland; 17 grandchildren; and 1 sister, Marjorie St. Louis of Main. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Symons and Marjorie (Broe) Symons, and by one son, Chuck Symons Oct. 12, 1995. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday June 8, 2004 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ronald Turcich officiating. Burial will be in Fennville Cemetery. Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. Monday June 7, 2004, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Chuck Symons Memorial Scholarship Fund.
