Obituary

Larry A. Morse, age 74 of Fennville, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at his home. Born August 30, 1935 in Allegan County, MI, he was the son of Albert and Theresa (Spiesz) Morse. A graduate of Fennville High School and Central Michigan University, Larry taught at Fennville High School retiring in 1986. Larry demonstrated his love for kids through his 30 years of teaching and 40 years of coaching. Larry was a member of the Fennville United Methodist Church, Fennville Area Fire Department, and the CMU Alumni Association. Surviving is his wife, Hedy Morse of Fennville, children; Terry and Theresa Morse of Vincennes, IN, Gary and Kim Morse of Grand Rapids, MI, Sheri Morse of Hudsonville, MI, Jamie and Wendy Morse of Zeeland, MI, Cathy and Chris Calderwood of Marquette, MI and Sam Couch of Grand Rapids, MI, nine grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Den and Eileen Morse of Dallas, TX, sisters; Janis and Gerry Howard and Deb and Mike Bielik of Fennville, MI, and his father and mother-in-law Sam and Ada Morehead of Fennville. He was preceded in death by one brother Mick Morse. Visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville, funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Fennville United Methodist Church, in Fennville with visiting at the church from 11:00 a.m. till service time. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Peterson, and interment will be in the Fennville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Fennville United Methodist Church, The Fennville Area Fire Department, or the Hustle and Harmony Scholarship fund.
