Larry (Butch) Holton, age 69, of Fennville, Michigan, died suddenly December 15, 2011 in South Haven, MI. Born March 3, 1942 in Fennville, he was the son of Cecil and Francis (Schultz) Holton. A graduate of Fennville High School, he then served in the US Navy. Larry worked for many different companies, in different parts of the United States, as an engineer and plant manager till his retirement. He was a member of the Fennville Rod and Gun Club and the Hutchins Lake Fishing Association. Larry loved to spend time fishing, hunting, making many different wood projects for his family and friends, and riding in his golf cart with his dog Sadie. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Jean (Skinner) Holton in April of 2001. Surviving are his children, Dotti and Bill Schulz of Wisconsin, and Karen and Mike Whitehouse of Louisiana, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters; Lois Conaster of Florida, Sandy and Jim Gant of Fennville, brothers Ronny and Annette Holton of Holland, and Donny and Randy Holton of Fennville. Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2011 from noon till service time. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, with Ms. Marcia Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Douglas Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Al-Van Humane Society 73303 8th Ave. South Haven, MI 49090.
