Larry Dale Gamby, 73, of Fennville, MI passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Resthaven Care Center.  Born June 10, 1951 in Allegan, he was the son of the late Frank Paul and Joyce (Roberts) Gamby.  Larry was an easy-going lady's man who was always full of compliments for those around him.  He never turned down an opportunity to help someone else and loved being part of the Welcoming Committee at Resthaven Maplewood.  Larry looked forward to a good pizza, a cool beer and a fun game of bingo, which he was sure to win at.  He treasured the friendships he made during the six years he lived at Resthaven Maplewood and the staff and residents equally treasured Larry.  He is already deeply missed.

Larry is survived by many cousins who loved him dearly.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Resthaven Maplewood for providing Larry wonderful care and a family of residents and staff that he loved for the last six years.  They also wish to thank Resthaven Care Center for caring for him during the last two months of his life and to Hospice of Holland for their excellent care and service.

A funeral service will take place at Chappell Funeral Home on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM with visitation for one hour prior.  Larry will be laid to rest in Manlius Township Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Resthaven, 948 Washington Avenue, Holland, MI 49423; Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd., Holland, MI 49423; or The Arc of Allegan County, 219 Hubbard Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
