Kenneth L. Picolet, age 86, of Fennville, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Lakeside Vista, in Holland, MI. Born December 3, 1925 in Onida South Dakota he was the son of Lester and Doris (Shaw) Picolet. Kenneth was a WW II Navy veteran serving on the USS Iowa. He worked for Erie Mining Company as a maintenance mechanic till his retirement, in 1987. He and his wife Margaret lived in the Fennville area for the past eleven years coming from Minnesota, they attended the Fennville United Methodist Church, and enjoyed the luncheons and social activities of the church. Kenneth was preceded in death by Margaret on December 22, 2011, only a few hours before his death. They are survived by their children, Ronald Joki of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Keith and Lisa Picolet of Hamilton, Michigan and Kimberly Tucker of Zeeland, MI, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and Kenneth has one surviving brother Bernard Picolet. At their request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Fennville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Gary Peterson officiating, visitation will be one hour prior to services. Memorial donations may be made to the Fennville United Methodist Church.
