Katherine "Kay" Suerth, age 81, of Fennville, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Blodget Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on August 1, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, she graduated from East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois. Kay worked as a secretary, and married Jim Suerth on January 22, 1972. She enjoyed all kinds of art, and was a member of the Saugatuck-Douglas Art Club, Holland Friends of Art, and Evergreen Commons in Holland. Kay was preceded in death by one son Kurt, and is survived by her husband Jim Suerth of Fennville, step son Jay and Corinne Suerth of Illinois, and one sister Elsie Dillinger of Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. till service time, funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, Michigan, with Ms. Marcia Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Fennville Cemetery.
