Julie Ann (Schalte) Leonardis, 63, of Fennville, MI passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at her home. Born November 5, 1958 in Grosse Pointe, MI, she was the daughter of Barbara (Bradow) Schalte and the late Joseph Schalte and was the wife of the late Gary Leonardis. Julie loved to spend time outdoors. Boating, fishing and gardening were among her favorite pastimes. Julie also found great joy in the time she would spend just hanging out with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Barbara; children, Steve Merleau (Sarah Ficher), Stacey Merleau and Jimmy Merleau (Rebecca Rutledge); brothers, Joseph Schalte and Jim Schalte; grandchildren, Ricky Merleau, Hunter Marie Merleau, Collen Estrada, Cecilia Estrada, Ciera Estrada and Jonny Estrada; and her faithful canine companion, Coco Puff. Along with her father and her husband, Julie was preceded in death by her brother, John Schalte. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
