Julia Stanich, 99, of Holland, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, in Allegan General Hospital. Born in Springfield, Ill., she resided in the Holland area for the past seven years after moving from Chicago. She had been a homemaker. Her husband, Joseph, preceded here in death in 1971. Surviving are her children, Phillip and Marilyn Pavela of Orange Park, Fla., Gloria Stanich of Woodside, N.Y., and Mary and Jim Biba of Fennville; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Umlaut of Gary, Ind. Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday in Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, Ind. No visitation is planned. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Arrangements are by the Chappell Funeral Home.
