Juan Bocanegra Sr., age 62, of Holland, formerly of Linares, N.L., Mexico, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Hospice House in Holland, MI. Born March 19, 1947, in Santa Rosa, TX, he was the son of Raul and Anita Bocanegra. He retired from O.D.L. in Zeeland. Surviving is his wife, Maria M. Bocanegra of Fennville, first wife Guadalupe Cardona of Mexico, children; Alfonso and Juanita Bocanegra, Raul Bocanegra, Anna and Sergio Hernandez, and Beatriz and Juan Salazar all of Mexico, Juan Bocangra Jr., Jesus and Amy Bocanegra all of Holland, Eduardo and Iliana Bocanegra of Texas, Angelica and Gustavo Mendez, Sara and Antonio Delgado all of Fennville, and Blanca Bocanegra of Pullman, MI. Twenty grandchildren and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at the Apostolic Church of Fennville, with Rev. Carlos Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Fennville Cemetery.
