Joyce Marie (Wright) Turner of Fennville, MI, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2025. Joyce was born to her late parents Lloyd and Lillian (Orr) Wright on May 3, 1945, in Dowagiac, MI. After graduating from Fennville High School Class of 1963, Joyce would become a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Borgess Hospital program in Kalamazoo. She started her nursing career at a local nursing home followed by a brief time at Holland Hospital before joining Plainwell Pipp Hospital as a surgical nurse from 1975 – 1993. She went on to finish her nursing career at Holland Hospital from 1993 - 2015, before retiring. Joyce was a Charter Member of the Community Church of Douglas. While she loved to volunteer at the church, she especially loved singing in the church choir where she was a member for years. She also enjoyed working at the annual church Christmas Bazaar knitting and making Christmas decorations and baked goods for all to enjoy. Joyce was the president of the Fennville Band Boosters for a few years while her daughters were in the Fennville High School band. Joyce was also an integral part in organizing the Fennville Goose Festival in its early years. Her personal hobbies involved canning fruit, working in the yard, and baking for her family. Above all else, she loved being a mom and grandma, cherishing family time. There was nothing she liked more than watching her grandsons play baseball on the weekends. She was the best cheerleader for her entire family.

She is survived by her children Lisa (Dr. Jon) Walsh, Selena Turner, and Stephanie Turner; sister Sharon Loos; grandchildren Aidan (Jill) Walsh, Lucas Walsh, Connor Walsh, and Liam Walsh; great-granddaughter Addison Marie Walsh; and many well-loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia Rorick, her niece Dawn Leslie and great niece Courtney Rorick.

Joyce's Memorial Service will start at 11:00 AM with an hour's visitation beforehand from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 10, at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 West Main Street, Fennville, MI 49408.
