Joyce Eloise Shumake, age 83, of Fennville, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at her home. Born December 23, 1927 in Statesville, NC, she was the daughter of Sidney and Lillie (Carson) Auten. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and one son Barry in 2009. Surviving is her daughter, Deborah and Allen Emery of Fennville, grandchildren; Vickie Emery, Crystal (Nate) Curtis, Bill (Teresa) Emery, Eric (Tina) Emery, Michelle (Chad) Herreman, Scott (Krista) Shumake, great grandchildren; AJ Herreman, Nicole Herreman, Samantha Herreman, Kyah Shumake, Daniek Shumake, Marrisa Shumake, Jessica (Randy) Garza, Ian Striecher, Brianne Striecher, Shelby Curtis, Jaimie Curtis, Alexander Emery, Parker Emery, Meagan Emery, great great-grandchildren Malachi, Issiah, Rylan, Arabelle, and her sister Barbara Bunnell, also many nieces and nephews.
