Joseph P. Migas, age 87 of Douglas, Michigan passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. Born March 16, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Paul and Mary (Gacek) Migas. Joe was a US Army veteran, and retired from the Chicago Police Department. Joe also worked for the railroad in Chicago. He lived in the Douglas area for many years, was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the owner of the Mi-Ro Restaurant, Motel, and Golf Course. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and is survived by his best friend Janet Fahey of Fennville. Visitation will be at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, MI, with Fr. Stan Witek officiating. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
