John F. Kollar, age 83 of Fennville, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his home. Born July 15, 1929 in Lawrence, Michigan, he was the son of Walter and Ruth (Shupert) Kollar. A longtime Fennville area resident and US Army veteran, John married Clara Mae Kluck on Aug22, 1953, he was a farmer all his life, and especially enjoyed working with horses. John worked for Consumers Power Company as a lineman for over 25 years. Surviving is his wife Clara, children; Linda and John Koerner of Joliet, IL, Joseph and Geann Kollar of Ashland, OR, Edbert and Marilyn Kollar of Holland, Marilyn Kollar and Mark Ricksgers of Fennville, Alvin and Vicky Kollar of Hudsonville, eight grandchildren five great-grandchildren, brothers; Louie, Bill, Gale, Tom, and Mike Kollar, sister Phyllis Armentrout. Visitation will be Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, August 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. till service time. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Chappell Funeral Home. Officiating will be Ms. Marcia Tucker, and burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, Ganges Township, Michigan.
