Gottlick, John D., age 73 passed away on December 31, 2013. He was born and raised in Chicago, attended St. Ignatius Preparatory, Holy Cross College and Notre Dame Law School. John went on to practice law in Chicago for over 30 years, finally opening his own law firm with Joseph E. Fitzgerald in his later years of practice. After retiring, John moved to the Saugatuck, MI area enjoyed this community and his many friends there. John loved the railroad, architecture and literature. Ever a political man, he enjoyed lively debates with his friends on national and world issues. He was an avid world traveler and frequently toured Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Baltic States. Paternal to the ones he loved, he would give good counsel and assistance if he thought he could be of help. John is survived by his brother James and his wife Ann, nieces Lori, Linda and Diana, nephew James Jr. and companion, Sidney Mathies. Committal services will be 10 A.M.
