John Henry Franklin, age 73 of Fennville, Michigan suddenly passed away at his sister's home on Wednesday, June 18, 2020.
Johnny and John Boy, as he was affectionately known, was the oldest of three siblings.
Johnny was born in Detroit, Michigan at Herman Kiefer Hospital on October 5, 1946. His mother, Cozella Franklin, preceded him in death.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memory a sister, Rudeine Flournoy of Fennville, Michigan; a brother, Rudolph Franklin of Fennville, Michigan; a special nephew, Marcus Clark (Jennifer) of Silverton, Oregon; a great niece, Jalysa Clark; and two great nephews, Isaiah and Emery Clark; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Johnny, although severely developmentally disabled, he lived a beautiful life at home with his family. Although he could not verbally communicate his thoughts and feelings, he had his own special way of communicating and you knew exactly what message he was trying to convey! Johnny made a lasting impact on many people with his infectious smile and kind eyes. If they ran into him in public, they would always come up to greet him to say hello! They never forgot him!
Johnny loved getting mail, he loved paper and magazines, he loved listening to music on his radio, he loved working and he loved Burger King and french fries. Most importantly, Johnny loved letting you know that he had money and loved keeping his money in his pocket when it came time to pay.
Johnny, we know that Jehovah God has prepared a place for you and we look forward to seeing you again complete in Jehovah, body, mind and spirit! We love you! And we will miss you! But we know that although we love you, God loves you more!
