Joaquin Burgos, 70 of Fennville, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at his home. He was retired nursery worker. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Dwight Taylor. Surviving are his wife, Teresa; children, Luis and Tami Burgos of Martin, Louisa Taylor of Louisiana, Louann Garcia of Martin, Pedro and Karen Burgos of Allegan, Jack and Margaret Burgos of Fennville, Victor and Diana Strickfaden of Fennville, Angie and Alvin Nunn of Holland, Albert and Gladis Burgos of Fennville, Dan and Lenore Rastall of Fennville; 30 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Florentino Burgos; sisters, Cecelia Burgos, and Tomasa Burgos, all of Puerto Rico. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday with Deacon Anthony Nethercott officiating. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Pearl cemetery.
