Joan Brenda (O’Reilly) Saintz Dr., passed peacefully at home into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 2, 2026. Joan was born to her late parents Louis and Elsie (Skeans) O’Reilly on August 19, 1939, in Boston, Massachusetts. Joan married her late husband Eugene Saintz, sharing over 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. She would attend school online and achieve her PHD in Nutrition, a doctoral degree focused on advancing scientific understanding of food, human health, and disease prevention through original research. With this degree, she would help hundreds of people get off medications, achieve better health and wellness through proper diets and life habits with her own business names Healthy Lifestyle and Nutrition. Above everything, she was a devout Catholic her entire life, full of faithful service, teaching, and volunteering with the Saint Margaret Mary Church in Allendale, MI. In 1967 Joan achieved the citizen of the year award for her dedication to serving her community. She loved serving for Jesus and was a light to all those around her.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Saintz, John Saintz, James (Lisa) Saintz, Janet (Michael) Brown, Julie (Ryan) Ver Hoeven; brother, Louis (Joan) O’Reilly; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, James O’Reilly, Albert O’Reilly, Michael O’Reilly, and Sheila O’Reilly.

Joan’s visitation will be Friday, February 6, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM and Mass of Christian Burial from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Saint Margaret Mary of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 11352 Brown Ave, Allendale, MI 49401. Burial to follow at Douglas Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Joan’s name to Saint Magaret Mary of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church poor fund (serve the poor to help thy neighbor).
