Joan Elizabeth (Lamb) Morden, 90, of Pompano Beach, Florida passed away on December 18, 2016. Joan was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 15, 1926 to Harold Lamb and Rhoda Mae (Lamb) Cunningham. Preceded in death by her husband William Morden in 1981 and siblings Roy Lamb and Lois Higgins, survived by her daughters Susan (Carl) Schiner, Laurie (Doug) Valassis and Debbie (John) Henrion and sons Bill (Mary Gay) Morden and Bob (Agnes) Morden. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Joan met her husband William (Bill) through an introduction by Patricia (Gail) Ryback, who remained her best friend for her entire life. Joan and Bill raised their five beloved children in Michigan with a two year stint for the family in Brazil where Bill worked for Ford Motor Company. Joan cherished spending time with family and friends, often at the family cottage in Saugatuck, Michigan. She had a love of crossword puzzles and sewing and knitted treasured Christmas stockings for everyone in her family. She also enjoyed her work at Oakland Community College as a Library Technician. Joan truly loved spending time with her grandchildren and was known as the sweetest G'ma ever, spoiling them with teddy bears, sweet treats and homemade Halloween costumes. Joan was adored by all who met her. She had a loving, positive outlook on life which her family will carry in their hearts forever.
