Jimmy D. Polk, of Holland, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in Holland Hospital. Born in Caruthersville, MO., he had recently retired from Holland Group after 39 years of employment. He was a member of the Church of God in Holland. Surviving are his wife, Deborah; children, Shelley Sosa, Melinda Ragan of Holland and Christopher Polk of Holland; four grandchildren; brothers Elmer Polk and Lloyd and Becky Polk all of Holland; sister Mary Dodson of Missouri. Services are 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Tony Adams officiating. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery. Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
