Jerome arrived in heaven at the age of 78 on December 28th while at home surrounded by family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlene Welder Mohr; his three children, Kylin (Donald) Wiersma, Nicole (Daniel) Sand, and Aaron (Tabetha) Mohr; and his six grandchildren, Ellie, Gabby, Sara, Lauren, Nickolas, and Valerie.
Jerry was a decorated veteran who proudly served his country in the Army achieving the rank of Sergeant. He earned five medals including the Vietnam Service Medal w/2 bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Medal, and a Purple Heart for his selfless actions while in the Vietnam War.
Everyone who knows Jerry knows he boasted in his loving family and would do anything to encourage their success. He was an active and devoted charter member at Corner Bible Church. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and golf for many years. He was the owner of Dream Stables and along with his wife, ran a successful business of owning and training harness horses for 33 years. Jerry loved music and encouraged all 6 of his grandchildren to pursue their musical gifts.
Jerry will be laid to rest an Fennville Cemetery. A memorial will be at Corner Bible Church in Allegan at 11 am on Friday December 31st. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Corner Bible Church or Wings of Hope Hospice. Service Details. Memorial Service
