Janice Lynn McFarland, 68, of Fennville, MI passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at her home. Born February 6, 1952 in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of the late James and Darline Janice (Chapelle) Taylor and was the wife of the late James Darrell McFarland. Janice had worked as a medical assistant for over 20 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Janice is survived by her partner, Jack Sims; children, Carrie Lynn Martin of Fennville, James Mark McFarland of Fennville and Joshua and Tammy McFarland of Wyoming, MI; grandchildren, Jenna, Samantha, Katelyn, Hailey, Hayden and Alex; great-grandchildren, Bella and James; sisters, Char and John Bekken and Bethany and Rick Goodrich; brothers, Fred and Karen Taylor, Ed and Ruth Taylor, Steve Taylor, Randy and Laura Taylor, Scott Taylor and Gary and Kammi Taylor; and many, many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Larry Taylor, preceded her in death several years ago. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2020. The time and place will be announced once those arrangements are finalized. Contributions may be made to the family to be used to obtain the memorial plaque at Restlawn Cemetery where Janice will be laid to rest beside her late husband.
