Jane Ann Nally, 88 of Fennville, Michigan, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at her residence in Golden Orchards. Born May 4, 1934, in Ganges Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Connie (Plummer) Collins and the wife of the late F. Eugene Nally. Jane progressed through the County Normal teaching system and eventually studied at Western Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees. She taught three years in rural schools, four years in Saugatuck-Douglas and 23 years in Fennville. Jane served many years as a 4-H leader, member of the Grange and Fennville Library Board and belonged to the Michigan Education Association, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs and Allegan County Retired School Personnel. Her husband of 38 years, Gene, died in 1989 leaving Jane to live out the remainder of her life surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was blessed with a caring and wonderful family and together they shared many loving and lasting memories. She leaves behind her four children, Daniel Nally, Michael Nally, Mary (Dennis) Squires, and Russ (Vicky) Nally; her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will meet with friends on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service, including Rebekah honors, will be held directly after the viewing. A reception will be held post service at the Fennville Rebekah Lodge. Burial will be performed at a private family gathering at Plummerville Cemetery. Jane desires that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in her name to the Fennville Public Library, 400 West Main Street, Fennville, MI 49408. Service Details.
