James Gordon Marshall, age 83, of South Haven, Michigan and Apache Junction, Arizona died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the Hospice House in Holland, Michigan. Born February 26, 1926, in Casco Township, Allegan County, MI. he was the son of James and Herrenia (Scott) Marshall. He married Frances H. Compton on October 30, 1946, a retired Electrician, he was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local # 131 of Kalamazoo, MI., the South Haven Masonic Lodge, The Michigan Flywheelers in South Haven, and a former member of the Elzaribah Shrine in Phoenix, AZ. He also attended the Glenn United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife of 63 years Frances H. Marshall, children; Marlene and James Boerigter of Apache Junction, AZ, James and Cathy Marshall of Fennville, Jerry and Kathy Marshall of Apache Junction, AZ., eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, sisters Virginia and Robert Hurd of Spokane, Washington, and Margaret Langreder of Tucson, AZ. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at the Glenn United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jean Smith officiating, burial will be in the McDowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon, till service time on Saturday, at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Glenn United Methodist Church, or Hospice of Holland.
