Jackie "Jack" Giles, age 73, of Fennville, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Wings Home in Allegan, Michigan. Born July 2, 1943 in Leachville, Arkansas, he was the son of Franklin and Margaret (Sandusky) Giles who preceded him in death. Jack proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a welder for Holland Hitch for over 40 years, retiring in 2008. Jack was a member of the Community Church in Douglas, Michigan. Surviving is his loving wife Mary Lou Giles of Fennville; son Timothy and Laura Giles of Fennville, daughter Larisa and Tim Clouse of Columbia, Missouri; 3 grandchildren: Alyson, Christopher, and Ryan; brother Tommie and Connie Giles of Fennville, sister Sherry Miller and Rick Rogers of Seymour, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, MI 49408 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at Community Church in Douglas, 6874 Wiley Rd., Fennville, MI 49408, with Dr. Daniel N. Miller and Ms. Marcia Tucker officiating. Jack will be laid to rest in Fennville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Jack's name to Wings Home, 530 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010.
