Irma Jean McCarty, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at Zeeland Hospital. Irma is preceded in death by her parents, Ocie and Blanche Barnes; husband, Ray McCarty; daughter, Pat McCarty; son, Doug McCarty and brother, Junior Barnes. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michelle (Travis) VanRhee, Steven McCarty, Jacob McCarty; daughter-in-law, Diane McCarty; great-grandchildren, Tahner VanRhee, Raylee VanRhee; and brothers, Pink (Maryann) Barnes, Ken (Kim) Barnes. Irma was a long time resident of Fennville. She enjoyed time down at the Fennville Rod and Gun Club where she would visit with friends. Irma also loved playing cards with her grandchildren and friends. Visitation for Irma will be held at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main in Fennville, from 11am-2pm on Saturday, January 27th. A private burial service will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Irma's honor can be made to the Fennville Rod and Gun Club, 2503 49th St, Fennville, MI 49408.
