Irene Mary Vana of Fennville MI. died peacefully Thursday Jan. 15. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Zanovit. Sister to the late Rose (Filetz), Eleanor (Opatrny), & Emil Zanovit. Her husband was the late Erwin Vana. Mother to two sons Andrew (Mary) & the late Paul (Cynthia). Grandmother to Allison, Joel, Maureen, Jason, Bill, & Brian. After raising her sons and completing a career at Western Electric in Illinois, Irene retired to Fennville where she enjoyed the quite life on her beloved family farm. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St. Fennville. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at the St. Barbara Parish 4008 Prairie Brookfield, IL, with burial following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
