Hughes Lewis Hutchinson, age 93, of Holland, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005. He was born January 16, 1912 to Wright and Bessie (Benson) Hutchinson in Fennville, where he lived for most of his life before moving to Holland. Mr. Hutchinson graduated from Fennville High School and Wentworth Military Academy, he retired from Michgian Fruit Canners after 40 years of service, and attended both Fennville United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Holland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean C. Hutchinson, on September 18, 1985. Surviving are their children, Clark (Linda) Hutchinson of Howell, MI and Anne (Benjamin) Hutchinson Bao of Woodstock, GA; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville, Rev. J. Lynn Pier-Fitzgerald officiating. Visitation with the family will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, August 15, at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the First United Church of Holland (57 West 10th St., Holland, MI 49423)
