Herbert Boyd, age 89 of Grand Junction, Michigan passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his residence. Born January 30, 1927 in Napier, TN, he was the son of Charles and Ada May Boyd. Herbert proudly severed his country as a member of the Navy. He has been a resident of the Allegan County area since 1987 moving from Louisiana, where he worked as a farmer. Herbert is preceded in death by his wife Louise in 2000 and his parents. Surviving is his children Stan and Gail Boyd, David Boyd and Debra Borst, Linda Roach, Rosemary Yates, Jimmy and Ella Boyd; 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; brothers Jimmy Boyd and Jackie Boyd. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 11-1 P.M. with funeral service starting at 1 P.M. at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, Michigan 49408.
