Harry A. Larson, age 89 of Kalamazoo, formerly of Pullman, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. Born August 1, 1917 in Pullman, MI, the son of Oscar and Anna (Olsen) Larson, he married Marguerite Larson who preceded him in death March 10, 1996. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 34 years of service. Member of the Masonic Lodge, I.O.O.F. and the Pullman Fire Department. He also worked for Michigan Fruit Canners in Fennville for 11 years. He lived in Pullman most of his life living in Kalamazoo the last eight years. Harry also worked part time for Chappell Funeral Home and sold grave markers in the S.W. Michigan area. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Deborah Larson of Portage, MI and Roger Larson of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Jason and Nicole Larson and Jami and Jason Howard; five great-grandchildren, Peightyn, Kamden, Kahyndell, Jema, and Rheghon; niece Arlene and Tim Jorgensen and nephew, LaVern and Ilene Larson. Preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Gust and Elsie Larson. Visitation is Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, June 25, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Drew officiating. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of S.W.
