Guadalupe C. Martinez, age 84, of Fennville, passed away at her home on Friday, September 28, 2012. Born November 8, 1927 in Mexico, she was the daughter of Vidal and Narcisa (Aleman) Cortez. Guadalupe retired from Michigan Fruit Canners in Fennville, after more than 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Banda Martinez, daughters Juanita Martinez and Maria Josefina Medrano. She is survived by her children; Pedro and Sylvia Martinez of Portage, MI, Alfredo Martinez of Portage, MI, Imelda Martinez of Jenison, MI, Maria Isabel and Gerald Osborn of Coloma, Mi, Maria Estela Davison of Grand Rapids, MI, and Maria De Jesus and Joe Garcia of Portage, MI, Eva Narcissa Martinez of Grand Rapids, MI, eighteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her sisters Maria de Lourdes Cortez Escamilla and Dolores Cortez Garcia both of Mexico. Visitation will be at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. in Fennville, MI, on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5:00 a?" 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, MI, with Fr.
