Gloria Rae Wahmhoff, age 88, of Fennville, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Hospice House in Holland, Michigan. Born July 14, 1925 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she was the daughter of Richard and Lillian (Spencer) Ryskamp. Gloria was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas; she enjoyed baking, reading and spending time with her family. Gloria retired from the Holland Sentinel after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert J. Wahmhoff Sr. on September 14, 1990, as well as her brother Richard Ryskamp and sisters Florence Phillips and Frances Schneider. Surviving are her children: Albert and Donna Wahmhoff of Bettendorf, Iowa, Alice Mow of Coloma, Michigan, Milly and David Johnson of Peoria, Arizona, Joyce Wahmhoff of Fennville, Michigan, Mary Beth and Keith Renouard of Chicago, Illinois, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brothers Jack and Dorothy Ryskamp of LeRoy, Michigan, Fred Ryskamp of Dorr, Michigan, and sister-in-law Dorothy Ryskamp of Kentwood, MI. Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:30 am, with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, Michigan. Fr. Fabio Garzon will be officiating and burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Holland or St. Peter's Catholic Church.
